Elmer T. Martinez, a friend and frequent visitor of SARA’s in Pocatello, remembers that walking into SARA’s home made him focus his artistic eye.
“Her paintings and sketches, the clothes she made and wore, her thrift store furniture she painted, her pottery, all were touched by her unique style,” says Martinez. “Even her freshly baked bread was so ‘sculpted’ that you hated to slice into it…but it was too damn delicious!”
The painting titled Hairy Shaman Blinked resides with Martinez.
